For Kompass zur Sonne, the 13th studio album by Berlin-based cult band In Extremo, we created the full visual campaign – from concept to execution across print, digital, and spatial formats.

In close collaboration with the band and label, we developed a cohesive design language that captures In Extremo’s signature sound: loud, honest, and full of detail. Our work included the standard CD, a richly produced deluxe book edition, a limited 2LP gatefold, a 7″ picture vinyl with stickers, and the full fan box – complete with customized items.

We also delivered a wide range of supporting materials: posters, press photos, ad formats, digital banners, release assets, packshots, and even a large photo wall for the album launch. Single artworks like “Segeln ohne Wind” were also part of the scope.

A comprehensive project for a band that has shaped the German rock scene for decades – and continues to stand out with its unmistakable identity.
