For the 100th anniversary of the legendary label ELECTROLA, we were invited to reimagine its logo – with deep respect for its heritage and a clear eye on the future.

The challenge: to evolve an iconic logo into a modern design language without losing its character or key visual elements. In close collaboration with the ELECTROLA team, we explored a range of design routes that honor the label’s legacy while making it ready for contemporary and digital use.

The result is a refined ELECTROLA logo that feels familiar yet sharper, more legible, and better suited for today’s media landscape. We also created a dedicated centenary logo – designed as a flexible identity element to mark this special milestone across all formats.

Delivered as a complete logo package with all relevant formats, use cases, and a compact style guide, the new identity was complemented by first applications across merchandise, marketing materials, and animated assets – including a logo transformation from the historic mark to the modern design.

A project at the intersection of brand history, typography, motion design, and visual identity – and a visual tribute to a label that has helped shape German music culture for a century, with more still to come.
